Dr. Picard's "History in Eppstein"

Most of the historical data for this blog comes from Dr. Picard's historical guide through the five districts of Eppstein:

Bertold Picard: Geschichte in Eppstein, Frankfurt: Kramer 1995. 1000 Jahre Burg Eppstein, Burg- und Museumsführer, Magistrat Eppstein 2002.

If you can read German and are interested in more details regarding Eppstein's history, I can highly recommend the 132-page book. Dr. Picard was Eppstein's archivist for years and is still our beloved guide and source of information.

Even if you cannot read German, you might enjoy looking at the sketches, paintings, lithographs, and photos of different Eppstein sights as they looked decades and centuries ago.

That's neat. Do you live in Germany? I think one reason I love living in Eppstein is because of the beautiful monuments the Neufville family built! You definitely should come visit.
